About Tangail Sarees:

Tangail sarees are handwoven using cotton and silk, featuring delicate buti (motif) designs, such as floral patterns or contemporary motifs. The signature feature of Tangail sarees is the extra weft buti, where tiny motifs are repeated throughout the fabric using a Jacquard loom. These sarees are highly valued for their light weight and are ideal for daily wear while still exuding a uniquely elegant charm.

Produced by approximately 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans, primarily in Nadia and Bardhaman districts, Tangail sarees are a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
