Vinita Pandey is associated with the Department of Sociology, Nizam College, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Her research interests include Urban Sociology, Social Psychology, Development Studies, and Qualitative Research. She has contributed to numerous national and international journals and has written extensively on participatory research and the Indian urban middle class. She is the recipient of the Vidya Shiromani Award conferred by the Citizens Council of Andhra Pradesh.
