About the Author

H. K. Rawat has dedicated over four decades to the study and teaching of sociology. His academic journey began at Maharaja College, Jaipur, where sociology was initially taught at very few institutions in Rajasthan. He later joined the prestigious Sanatan Dharma Government College, Beawar, where he spent many years imparting knowledge at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prof. Rawat retired in 1992 after serving in various academic leadership positions, including as Vice Principal and Principal. He has published several scholarly articles and books, including the highly regarded Sociology Encyclopedia, Anthropology Dictionary, Social Thinkers and Theorists, and Anthropological Thinkers, all of which have been widely acknowledged and used as textbooks and reference materials.
