About the Author

जे. पी. सिंह: Dr. J.P. Singh is a renowned sociologist and demographer. He holds an M.A. from Patna University, an M.Phil. from JNU, and a Ph.D. from the Australian National University. He is a retired professor from the Department of Sociology at Patna University. He has also served as the Director of Higher Education for the Bihar Government and as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Patna University. His major works include Modern Indian Sociology, Anthropological Dictionary, and A Comprehensive Dictionary of Sociology. He is widely recognized for his contribution to sociology and social sciences.
