About the Author:

Vinita Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Nizam College, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Her research interests include Urban Sociology, Social Psychology, Qualitative Research, and Development Studies. She has contributed several research papers to national and international journals and books, focusing on participatory research and the urban middle class. Vinita Pandey is also the recipient of the Vidya Shiromani Award from the Citizens Council of Andhra Pradesh.
