About the Author

Vinita Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Nizam College, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Her research interests include Urban Sociology, Social Psychology, Qualitative Research, and Development Studies. She has authored numerous research papers and book chapters on topics like participatory research and the urban middle class. Pandey is a recipient of the Vidya Shiromani Award from the Citizens Council of Andhra Pradesh.
