About the Book
‘भारतीय समाजशास्त्र’ is a collection of sociological essays that introduces readers to the social and historical perspectives that have shaped the development of Indian sociological theories, methodologies, and social processes. Through these essays, readers will gain insights into how social forces and historical contexts, whether conscious or unconscious, have influenced the shaping of knowledge and theories.
The book is divided into two parts. The first part consists of essays that shed light on the theoretical development of Indian sociology. The second part gathers essays related to Indian studies on sociological topics. The book also discusses the changes in sociology today and the issues arising from those changes.
It is hoped that this book will be a valuable resource for teachers, students, and general readers interested in Indian sociology.
