About the Book:

This book delves into crucial issues related to population and sustainable development in India, the second most populous country in the world. By using the latest available data in the context of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, it critically examines the current state of development in India, particularly focusing on the interplay between economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection, with a special emphasis on the role of population dynamics.

The chapters primarily aim at promoting sustainability concerning population growth, child survival, and economic growth. These key factors are analyzed in relation to how they contribute to the country’s broader development goals. The book will be an invaluable resource for students, researchers, and policymakers in the fields of population studies, economics, and international development.
