About the Author:
C. Lakshmanna is a renowned sociologist who served as the Assistant Professor of Sociology at Lucknow University and later as the Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has also held academic assignments at international institutions, including Pittsburgh University. His career expanded into politics, where he served as a Member of Parliament and as the Indian High Commissioner to Trinidad & Tobago and several other West Indies nations.
