About Tangail Sarees:

Tangail sarees are handwoven using cotton and silk, with intricate hand-worked buti (tiny motifs) and floral or contemporary designs. The primary feature of Tangail sarees is the extra weft buti, created using a Jacquard loom. These sarees are popular for their lightness, making them ideal for daily wear. Produced in Nadia and Bardhaman districts, over 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans contribute to creating these uniquely elegant and manageable sarees.
