About the Author
R.K. Upadhyay is the Chairman of the Department of Social Work at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. With over three decades of experience in teaching and practicing social casework, he is a renowned figure in the field. He is the founder-President of the Indian Society of Psychiatric Social Workers and the Editor of the "Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work." Upadhyay has played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Social Work at Kurukshetra University and was also the founder-head of the department at the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi. His expertise has been further enriched through his visit to the United States. Besides numerous research papers, he has published eight books in various areas of social work.
