Saradaranjan Roy has worked meticulously on the Sanskrit text, primarily based on the late Pandit Vidyasagara's edition. He has made various revisions and adopted readings from multiple sources, including Vidyasagara's extracts from his manuscripts and the Bombay edition of Viraraghava. While preparing the translation, Roy has been guided by the invaluable work of Dr. Tawney and Dr. Belvalkar. He has also included his own commentary, differing in certain areas from previous explanations.
Roy credits Pandit Kalikrishna Bhattacharya, Pandit Sudhakara, and Professor Amujyacharan Vidyabhushana for their assistance in uncovering references that enriched his work.
