About the Author:

Majid Husain is a renowned geographer who retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Geography at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He holds an M.A., LL.B., and Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University and has pursued higher studies at Swansea (Wales) and the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.

Dr. Husain is known for his ability to simplify complex geographical concepts and has authored over 40 books. His notable works include "Human and Economic Geography", "Evolution of Geographical Thought", "Human Geography", and "Geography of Jammu and Kashmir", among others. His books are widely used as texts and references in universities both in India and abroad. Currently, he is involved in coaching for the IAS at Civils India, Delhi.
