About the Book

India strives to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and transition toward a greener, more equitable, and self-reliant future through the framework of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This volume offers a comprehensive analysis of the role of education in attaining these goals. It identifies areas of synergy and outlines practical challenges that must be overcome to transform this shared vision into reality.

Comprising fifteen scholarly papers, the book explores both theoretical frameworks and empirical data to evaluate educational reforms under NEP 2020. Topics covered include digital education initiatives, skill development, university-level challenges, and foundational literacy. The contributors analyze the interplay between policy design and on-ground implementation, highlighting the difficulties in converting policy intentions into measurable outcomes.

This volume is a vital contribution to the discourse on sustainable development and education policy in India. It equips educators, planners, and policymakers with critical insights needed to design inclusive, resilient, and future-ready educational strategies.
