About Tangail Saree:

Tangail sarees are traditionally hand-woven on cotton and silk with hand-worked buti, floral designs, or contemporary motifs. A key feature of Tangail sarees is the extra weft buti, which consists of tiny motifs repeated across the saree using a Jacquard loom. These sarees are especially popular for their lightweight and are ideal for daily wear. About 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans, mainly from Nadia and Bardhaman districts, contribute to the creation of these beautiful, easy-to-manage, and uniquely elegant cotton sarees.
