About Tangail Sarees:

Tangail sarees are handwoven from cotton and silk, featuring intricate buti (motif) designs, floral patterns, or contemporary motifs. The primary characteristic of Tangail sarees is the extra weft buti, achieved with tiny motifs repeated throughout the fabric using a Jacquard loom. These sarees are known for their lightweight nature, making them ideal for daily wear, all while maintaining a refined and vibrant look.

Produced by approximately 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans in the Nadia and Bardhaman districts of Bengal, Tangail sarees are highly valued for their craftsmanship and elegant appearance.
