About the Author

रामयज्ञ सिंह (Ramyagya Singh), born in 1933, has significant experience in rural community development and rural settlements, having worked for several years as a B.D.O. and assistant professor at the University of Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). Dr. Singh is currently a representative from Eastern Africa on the Commonwealth Geographic Bureau’s managing committee. He is a member of prestigious geographical organizations in India, including the National Geographical Society of India, and the National Association of Geographers (NAGI). Dr. Singh has also authored several books and research papers on rural development and settlement geography. His other works include Planning in Rural Integrated Environment and Geography of Settlements.
