About the Author:
Dr. G. Manoj is an archaeologist and researcher specializing in temple architecture. He holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Ancient History and Archaeology from Manasa Gangotri, University of Mysore. Currently, he works as a Research Associate with the Maharani Lakshmi Arani Research Foundation in Bangalore and is a resource person with the Archaeological Survey of India. His work primarily focuses on ancient Dravidian temple architecture, sculptures, and iconography.
Dr. Manoj has presented numerous research papers in both English and Kannada at various academic seminars and symposia. He has delivered lectures on archaeology, music, and mythology at several universities, including the University of Guelph and Concordia University, as well as various institutions in Karnataka. He is also the author of Devalaya Vastu Vijnana, a reference book on Dravidian temple architecture. Apart from archaeology, his interests extend to Kannada and Sanskrit literature, inscriptions, and manuscripts. Dr. Manoj is a multi-linguist and has published works in Sanskrit, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. Some of his notable books include Planet Prayers and Muthuswami Dikshitar Krithis on Mahaganapati.
