Prof. M.C. Joshi
Prof. M.C. Joshi, born on March 30, 1933, in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, was a distinguished archaeologist and historian. He earned his M.A. in History from Lucknow University and was awarded a Gold Medal. He began his career in the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in 1956 and rose through various positions, eventually serving as Director General of the ASI until his retirement. After his retirement, he continued his work at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts. Prof. Joshi passed away on January 1, 2007.

Dr. D.P. Sharma
Dr. D.P. Sharma is an archaeologist, museologist, and art historian. He completed his M.A. in Ancient History from Allahabad University and later pursued D.Phil research on the art and architecture of the Ganga-Yamuna doab region. Awarded a Commonwealth scholarship, he qualified for an M.A. in Archaeology from the Institute of Archaeology, University of London. Dr. Sharma has published over 210 papers and 30 books. He has held various prestigious positions, including as Director at Bharat Kala Bhavan, Varanasi.
