About the Book
This book offers a compelling narrative of two towering figures in Indian history—Ratan Naval Tata and Bhagat Singh—whose contributions and sacrifices have left an indelible mark on the nation.
Ratan Tata (28 December 1937 – 9 October 2024), an influential industrialist and philanthropist, served as the chairman of Tata Group and Tata Sons from 1991 to 2012. His leadership redefined the corporate landscape in India and he continued to shape the nation’s business ecosystem well into the 21st century. A recipient of the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008, Tata's legacy is defined by his visionary approach to business and his philanthropic endeavors.
Bhagat Singh (27 September 1907 – 23 March 1931), an iconic figure in India’s freedom struggle, became a martyr for the nation. Known for his daring actions against British rule, Singh’s revolution against colonial oppression and his hunger strike in jail elevated him to the status of a folk hero in Northern India. His execution at the young age of 23, after a symbolic bombing of the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi, galvanized the Indian independence movement.
This book chronicles the lives of these two extraordinary individuals, whose actions continue to inspire generations.
