P.N. Srivastava served as a Professor of Mathematics for over four decades at several renowned institutions, including I.I.T. Kanpur, H.B.T.I. Kanpur, and G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, where he spent the major part of his academic career (1966-1991). After retirement, he continued his teaching career at institutes like Amity University, Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology Management, and Shri Ram Swaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management in Lucknow. With a deep passion for reading and expanding his knowledge, he has continued to engage in writing even in his 80s. This work was written as an effort to raise awareness among youth about India's freedom struggle, and the author hopes to continue sharing his vast knowledge through the written word in place of his earlier classroom interactions.
