About the Author
Renuka Devi Choudhury was born on 31st July, 1909 in Baghber, Mymensingh, in the East Bengal region. She was married into the prominent Lahiri Choudhury family of Muktagachha and Kalipur zamindars. After the partition of India, she moved to Kolkata, where she spent the rest of her life. Her first book, "Rakamari Niramish Ranna," published in 1988, became a hallmark in Bengali cooking literature. Her other works, including "Rakamari Amish Ranna", have also received significant praise.
